Ours - Baltimore, MD. - June 2012

We ordered our dining room furniture from Su Casa back in March and tonight, almost 4 months later, when I came home from my Wednesday night bible study and saw Oliver...
(Yep the new chair's name is Oliver, more names coming soon.)

Sitting in his place at the head of the table, for the first time since that cold and windy trip to Su Casa - Kenilworth, I really felt like I was walking into our dining room with OUR furniture. It's sort of funny what the presence of one chair can do. I can't explain it, but I just felt like the gang was all here; I felt like it was OURS!
Welcome home Oliver!!!

TODAY WE'RE TAKING A PEEK INTO

Shortly after we got married almost 7 years ago we happened upon an estate sale and purchased our bedroom set. It was the most wonderful find and for $550.00 it was a steel, especially for twenty something newly weds just starting out. Although we LOVE the set I can still remember our conversation as we attached the frame to the head board.

The Hub: "This will be great for our apartment days, but when we have a house this set will go in our guest room."
WanderingLili: "Why?"
The Hub: "Because I wanna get a KING bed."
WanderingLili: "Why?"
The Hub: "You hog the bed."
NOTE TO READER: If you haven't seen me lately or ever, I'm seriously right at 5 feet and 110 lbs. In a "bed hog contest" I would, and DO, loose every time!!!
But I digress, as I scooted around Su Casa Baltimore's Bedroom furniture section of their website I fell in love with THIS!
(In fact, I LOVE the entire Shutter series!)

Our New Chair is COMING!!! - Baltimore, MD. - June 2012

I'm not sure if you remember, but when our table and chairs arrived on May 29th our AWESOME delivery guys let us know that one of them had been damaged in shipping (our chair not the delivery guy).
(As the Monkey says these days, it must hav had a "BONK"!!!)

Click HERE for all the details, but in short Su Casa called us right away to go over "what would happen next" and our new chair was ordered right away.
(Don't they look lonely just the 5 of them.)

Well yesterday morning, just under 4 weeks from our original furniture delivery and 2 weeks SOONER than the estimated delivery date, Leslie from Su Casa called to let us know that our new chair was in and ready for delivery. Tomorrow afternoon at 1pm we get to experience Su Casa delivery AWESOMENESS all over again!!!

SWEET!!!
(How many furniture store deliveries can you say that about!!!)

Till next time,
Bon Voyage!

TODAY WE;RE TALKING LIVING ROOMS
Oh my goodness! I thought choosing dining furniture was tough, but I had no idea!!! I've sort of been in my own little world in the land of dining room. I hadn't even flipped to the Living room page of the Su Casa website. Sofas, chairs, sectionals, tables, TV and media furniture, loveseats, and ottomans; there's a lot going on in the living room!

OUR PICKS
I really LOVE the size, scale and arrangement of the Townsend Sectional
but I also like how the Breeze Sectional has skirting that goes all the way to the floor and the pillows look higher and more "smushy". (My spell check says "smushy" isn't a word, but I bet you totally get what I'm saying.)
(I'm NOT brave enough to buy it in white.)

Looking into the details on that one it actually looks like I could have it configured just like the Townsend Sectional, so I choose YOU Breeze Sectional! It just looks so COMFORTABLE!!!

Old Table vs. New Table: Diner Style! - Baltimore, MD. - June 2012

I swear I'm not a neat freak (just ask the Hub), but as I look back at this journey with Su Casa - Baltimore I've noticed that cleaning up messes takes up a great deal of my time and energy. Let me expand with a visual...
Need a close up?
THIS is what I'm up against! And it's only 7:30 in the morning!!!

I discovered shortly after the table arrived that these Valencia chairs allow me to do something that our old chairs did not.
Check it out! It's diner style clean up!
Being able to flip the chairs up onto the table top has made cleaning up the toddler's messes WAY easier.
I really thought I'd miss the arms on our old chairs...
But that face says we're really doing just fine!

City Girls For The Day - Baltimore MD - June 2012

We live in the burbs but some of our best friends live in the city, so we take every chance we can to jump on the metro and go urban.

Last Thursday we got to be city girls for the day when we headed down to Fells Point.

First off the weather was AMAZING and the streets were full of energy and people as the Baltimore Sailabration 2012 brought over a million people to our city and some pretty amazing "Tall Ships" too!
Our final destination was Su Casa - Fells Point, but with so much going on we had to take in the sights, sounds and tastes of the city on our way.

With Katie and her girls as our Fells Point guides 4 mommies with 4 strollers, and a total of 6 children under 6, grabbed cheep and DELICIOUS pizza and found this great grassy place next to Su Casa and right on the water, so we ate our lunch...

Drank some pink lemonade...
And let the kids burn off some energy before we headed inside.

(A HUGE thanks to Pad for the use of their bathroom. Pad is Su Casa's sister store located across the street in Fells Point. They sell "clean, simple, modern design oriented furniture and thankfully understand that when a potty trained toddler has to go they have to GO!!!)

(The Monkey... Always on her toes.)
(And sweet MJ hanging out in the lower stroller seat.)

The store was totally stroller friendly with a side entrance with a ramp and YES those are doggy water bowls out side the door because Su Casa is Dog friendly too!!!
There is a SUPER cute children's corner with books and stuffed animals that had me dreaming of decorating my girls' room.
Katie and I fell in love with some rugs!
But THESE were what we were hunting; stylish, dishwasherable (Is that a word?) placemats!
Thanks again Jenni for all your help!

I also have my eye on a table runner made of rocks...
(There are place mats too, but I just want the runner.)

And I'm still in LOVE with THIS buffet to one day sit in the same room with OUR TABLE.
Days like this make me want to be a city girl more often!!!

Till Next time,
Bon Voyage!
