Stroller, Party of TWO - Baltimore, MD. - February 2012

After literally MONTHS of research, (Ask my dear friend Sarah who listened to my agonizing debates day in and day out and she'll tell you I'm not exadurating!) I finally decided on a stroller for TWO.

Meet the Britax B Ready
a
It's both a single stroller and can be converted to a double in-line that rests in the footprint of a single.  This feature was a vital part of the decision making process because of how much we ride the metro and the limited amount of space you can occupy without ticking off the other people on the train.

There are 14 ways to configure it.

In the beginning we'll set it up like this...
(More about THIS car seat in my next post)

Then once "Little Sticks is big enough, we just snap on the second seat...

And this is how we'll roll.
The color I wanted (silver) wasn't available in stores so I ordered it this morning from Amazon and should get it some time next week.  I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Just in case you wanted to see the product demo
Pretty fancy, right!

Till next time,
Bon Voyage!

We did the same agonizing research and decided to go with the Baby Jogger CitySelect. Let me know how you end up liking yours.

katie just purchased the city mini double stroller. I have heard nothing but great things about this stroller, the feature she loves the best is how easy it is to open and close. Amber borrowed another friends to take to disney and said it was the best stroller ever. All of a sudden I am hearing about it everywhere.... here's a link:

I second the City Mini Double. I'm currently saving up to buy one when the new baby comes. It's lightweight and looks super easy to fold. I'm not a fan of the high price, but it's comparable to other doubles like it and less then the B-Ready I think (Once you buy the stroller and 2nd seat). I like the B-Ready, but don't like the idea of the baby being in the the undermeath basket area so J can see out. If I had 2 infants, I think it might be better. But for a 2.5 yr old and a new born I think the City Mini will be better.

I must say I have a little bit of stroller envy. Nothing like that when I Foster was born.

All I have to say is if you get that stroller and it mysteriously disappears shortly after you've made said purchase, it wasn't me.

That's the stroller I have! You can test drive it if you like.

I have the schwinn double jogger and really like it. My first was the single bob ( which I love) but the schwinn is very reasonably priced. Good luck!

I did some research as well. Someone gave me a Joovy Caboose (which is a sit & stand) that I used a few times for indoor. (I tried to walk with it once and it was awful). I finally decided on a Phil & Ted's Dash Stroller. It has the underneath basket for inline seating. I wanted the inline instead of the double because it's so hard to maneuver a double in stores. I also wanted the option to be able to jog with one child but walk long distances with two. My 2.5 yr old sits in the back (although the smaller child is supposed to sit there, I've never had any issues). My daughter's Chicco carseat fit right in the front even w/out purchasing a carseat kit. The biggest downfall to me now that my baby is snacking is the lack of a snack tray. She'll be able to hold her own snack cup in a few months so it's not a huge deal. It's pricey too but I bought mine for almost 50% off on Zulily.com. They don't always have them but you need to subscribe to their emails and you would need to keep an eye out for it. They have them on there every few months. Otherwise they sell them @ BuyBuy Baby (not sure if you have those where you live). Feel free to inbox me with specific questions. Sorry, that was really long!

We had a single jogger and wish I'd also gotten a double. We got a side by side and it was ok. But two kids are way heavy so I think spending more money on a stroller that rolls easy is worth it! I've heard only great things about the one you posted about and the joggers.

I like my sit and stand cuz my oldest van stand, sit and easily get out of it herself and her age she didn't like to "sit" so standing was fun for her

If I were you, I would wait until you find out where you will be living for the next few years :) It might make a huge difference on which stroller you choose. We wouldn't normally get a double with a 3.5 year age difference, but we have to if I'm ever going grocery shopping again after #2 is here. We're having a very hard time finding a double that will work for our urban lifestyle. The B Ready is on my short list, but I don't like the wheels. I was sold on the BJ city select until I realized you can't push down on the stroller to "pop" curbs if the bigger child is in front, and I really don't want my infant so far away from me. I would love a new City Mini GT, but they aren't shipping until the end of March. I've heard a read a lot of complaints about Phil and Teds strollers popping tires all the time. Have you seen the Mountain Buggy Duet? It's a side by side double, but no wider than a standard jogger (25 inches I think).
