2 Months & Four Bandaids - Baltimore, MD. - July 2010

Note To Reader: I'm starting to get a better grip on my time, and soon will be blogging again about more than baby El. For now though, here's the latest.

Two months old! Another month has passed and we're already trying to figure out where the time has gone.

She is still a little peanut, and is still smaller than most babies when there born, but we're workin' on beefing her up.

Brand New

El 1 Month

El - 2 Month Weight: 6 lbs ( less than 3rd%)
Length: 20 inches (3rd %)
Head Circumference: 34 cm (62%)

She's still very much a little peanut, but in the next month or so we really are expecting her to "Chunk Out", as her doctor likes to say. She is starting to smile and coo just a little bit. We continue to be amazed by how strong she is. She's been holding her head up pretty much since we brought her home. She can support her own weight standing and holding your fingers for balance. Oh yeah and most heart breaking of all is that she's crying REAL tears. In the beginning, her crying was a lot of noise and no water works, but now she's got it all figured out and we get real tears just about every time. These were so excelently demonstrated when, at her 2 month "well baby check-up".She received 2 shots and a heal stick. She was awarded the 4th camo Bandaid after her belly button was cotorized. What a brave girl!

She likes wearing dresses and doesn't mind wearing the head bands that our wonderful friend Sarah made her.

It has been so much fun getting to know her and it's amazing how, each day when we feel we can't love her more, the next day our love for her grows.

Till next time,
Bon Voyage!

"...But the Greatest of These is Love" - Baltimore, MD. - July 2010

5 Years ago today I married my best friend! Today I am truely blessed to say that he is still the first face I want to see in the morning and the last voice I want to hear before I sleep.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
-1 Corinthians 13: 13

Till next time,
Bon Voyage!
